Ingmar Bergman, Cinematic Philosopher
Went to see GONE GIRL for a second time and am even further convinced that it is (a) one of the greatest American films ever made; and (b) the sharpest dissection of a troubled marriage since the heydey of Ingmar Bergman. With that in mind, I'm posting a link to a review I wrote of the book INGMAR BERGMAN, CINEMATIC PHILOSOPHER; read it HERE. #ingmarbergman #americancinematographer #bookreviews #gonegirl #davidfincher

David Fincher's THE GAME
Just got back from David Fincher's GONE GIRL, and I'll say it here and I'll say it now: it's not only the best film Fincher has ever made, it's the best movie anyone has ever made. SCENES FROM A MARRIAGE meets PSYCHO, but possibly even better than either. Incredible stuff. Since I have Fincher on the brain, here's a link to a piece I wrote on THE GAME for American Cinematographer when Criterion released it on Blu-ray. Read it HERE. #fincher #gonegirl #thegame #criterion #dvdr
